Fortnite

Fortnite is the biggest game in the world, and it keeps on growing. After starting out on PC, Fortnite has moved to PS4, Xbox, and the iPhone, and had a crossover event with the Avengers. The battle royale game even counts Drake as a fan.

Epic isn’t sure when it will bring Fortnite back to iOS in the UK.

The company has some criticisms of the Competition and Markets Authority’s roadmaps of “potential actions to improve competition” for Apple and Google, and Epic now says it “can’t bring the Epic Games Store to iOS in the UK this year (if ever).”

Epic originally aimed to bring the store and Fortnite to iOS in the UK in the second half of 2025.

Yet another new Fortnite mode.

Just a day after announcing the speedy Blitz Royale, Epic has unveiled a second major game mode for Fortnite that’s dropping on June 18th. It’s called Lego Expeditions, and it’s a PvE option that looks sort of like a brick-infused take on Diablo.

That’s a victory royale, I tell you what.

It sure looks like Hank Hill is coming to Fortnite. If ever there was a time to add a new king of the hill mode, this is it.

“Apple is fully capable of resolving this issue without further briefing or a hearing.”

Following Epic Games’s filing asking Judge Yvonne Gonzalez Rogers to order Apple to review its Fortnite app submission, Gonzalez Rogers wants Apple to resolve this on its own or for the Apple official who “is personally responsible for ensuring compliance” to appear at a hearing next Tuesday.

Epic submitted a new version of Fortnite to Apple.

It also pulled the version it sent to Apple last Friday, according to Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney. Apple’s website says that “on average,” 90 percent of submissions “are reviewed in less than 24 hours,” though the company obviously did not meet that estimate for last week’s Fortnite submission.

Epic is sweetening the deal.

In the lead up to Fortnite returning to the App Store, Epic is trying to entice players with a 20 percent rewards bonus when you use the company’s payment system to make purchases in certain games.

The offerings follow a court ruling in the Epic v. Apple antitrust case that is already having downstream effects on app developers and users.

Switch it up like Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, PC, and mobile.

Fortnite’s next Festival season, which kicks off on April 8th, will feature Sabrina Carpenter, Epic Games announced today.

Epic is also updating emotes so that when you do an emote that’s classified as a “Dance Emote,” any other player will be able to do that dance with you even if they don’t own it.

Yes, that is a rapping pickle.

The first trailer for Fortnite’s new season comes in the form of... a music video for a new character who is also a pickle. It’s plenty goofy, but it does seem to hint at a return to a heist theme, with vaults to break into, underground tunnels to sneak through, and explosives to explode. The season drops on February 21st.

Fortnite issues a PSN update.

Some players are “able to log-in and play again on PlayStation platforms, but not all game services may be back online,” according to the Fortnite Status X account.

Sony still hasn’t offered any meaningful updates about the many-hours-long PSN outage — unless you consider the AskPlayStation account’s recent afternoon reminder about M.2 SSD support helpful.
