E Ink supersized the Kindle Colorsoft’s screen to create digital posters.
Although other versions of the company’s e-paper tech are already used as low-power alternatives to LCDs for digital signage, E Ink announced a massive 75-inch version of its Kaleido 3 color displays typically found in smaller devices.
E Ink’s Kaleido 3 Outdoor can display up to 4,096 colors (much less than its Spectra 6 technology) and can be used indoors or out in temperatures ranging from around five to a scorching 149 degrees Fahrenheit.
