It works.

I just plugged Aurzen’s $65 CastPlay HDMI dongle into the $7 USB-C-to-HDMI video adapter I received a few minutes ago. After one minute of setup, the dongle now automatically pairs with Aurzen’s rechargeable $249 $299 tri-fold Zip projector to stream DRM-protected content as soon it’s plugged into my iOS and Android phones. That bumps the price considerably, and I fear the dongle or adapter will eventually get lost, but it’s a take-anywhere mirror-anything solution for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, PowerPoints, Netflix, Amazon Prime, casual gaming, etc, for people who like to travel light.

Mirroring DRM’d content requires the Aurzen HDMI dongle and a random USB-C-to-HDMI adapter purchased on Amazon.
It’s a clumsy but usable solution that goes to hell once you lose the dongle or adapter.
