Sharge’s new USB charger has a retro dot matrix status display.

There’s no word yet on a wider global release, but Sharge has launched a new USB charger in China that trades LCD and OLED screens for a grid of white LEDs on the side showing its charging status. It’s available with 140W of power output and 3 USB-C ports, or 100W that adds an additional USB-A port. The display can rotate at the push of a button so it remains upright and easy to read.

The display can be rotated to accommodate where the charger is plugged in, and its brightness can be adjusted so it’s not lighting up a room while you’re trying to sleep.
