Mario Kart World update shuts down the “random” track trick for online races.
Before the patch, the “random” track choice would teleport players to a course for a traditional three-lap race, allowing them to avoid the “intermission” races that require players to drive to the track location where they typically complete just one lap.
Now, the “random” option appears to include both intermission races and ones that teleport everyone to the next track, frustrating players who just want to quickly hop into their next race, as reported by Kotaku.
